BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency) registration is mandatory for Color Television (Color TV/Smart TV) sold in India.
As per the BEE's guidelines, all color televisions with a display screen size of up to 32 inches are required to obtain BEE registration before they can be sold in the Indian market. This includes both non-smart and smart TVs.
The purpose of BEE registration is to ensure that the products meet the minimum energy efficiency standards set by the government, and thereby help consumers save energy and reduce their electricity bills.
